Auction123 – System Maintenance 2/14/16 – Updates to the Image Management System

Announcement Graphic

Auction123 will be performing system maintenance on Sunday, February 14th between 7:00 PM EST and 12:00 AM EST. During this time, image upload and editing features in the Auction123 Dashboard will be disabled. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Once completed, you will notice the Auction123 Image Management System has been enhanced. Our image tools will no longer require Java or the installation of an ActiveX plug-in. Our new HTML5 image uploader can be accessed from any modern Internet browser, including Chrome.

We’ve modified our image upload process, making it even easier to transfer images from your computer to the Auction123 system. Be sure you are capturing images at a minimum resolution of 1024×768. This optimizes your vehicle presentation within the Auction123 template. If you are uploading or sending larger sized images, the Auction123 image uploader will automatically resize your images accordingly. We’ve also reformatted our image editing tools, providing more ways to enhance your vehicle presentation.

Auction123 – Changes to Supported Image Sizes

The Auction123 system now supports images up to 1024×768 in size. If you are uploading images directly to the Auction123 system, we recommend you adjust your camera settings to a minimum of 1024×768. If you take larger images, we recommend maintaining a 4:3 ratio. Larger images will be automatically sized down to 1024×768.

As we have increased our maximum image size, the Auction123 system will no longer upsize images. Previously, smaller images that were uploaded or imported were sized up to 800×600. Going forward, you images will display within the Auction123 templates in the same size they are uploaded or imported.

These changes were made to increase your image quality and allow for the larger images to be supported within the system.
