Facebook Marketplace January 2023 Changes

Starting on January 30, 2023 Facebook will no longer support the ability for dealers to create vehicle Facebook Marketplace listings using a business page, along with removing the Vehicles Tab and Manage Inventory Tab. However, the free person-to-person listings for vehicle listings will still be available.

Our Marketplace Posting Tool will continue to support the use of free person-to-person for vehicle listings on Facebook Marketplace. This means you can continue using our tool to easily post your units and feature more inventory on Facebook than your competitors.  In addition to supporting free person-to-person listings, we also offer an inventory feed for Facebook Shops, the Vehicles Tab replacement. Shops allows you to display your inventory directly on your business page and generate leads from visitors.

We understand that these changes to Facebook’s Marketplace can be confusing and disruptive – we are here to help! If you have any questions about how our tool can help you navigate these changes, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Auction123 Support Team via phone 888-514-0123 option 2 or email support@auction123.com.

Required Updates To Your Auction123 Craigslist Application

We are releasing a security update for your Auction123 Craigslist application running on a Windows PC(s) at your dealership on Thursday December 8th 2022. Windows may request your permission to proceed with this update. These updates are due to security certificate changes with the application and are necessary for your Craigslist tool to function. The requirement for this update is a Windows 10 or 11 operating system and .NET 5.0 or above. Once we push these changes live, you should receive a notification that an update is available, or you can check for updates yourself.

Right-click on the “123” logo in your system tray and select “Check for Updates.”

If Windows requests permission to proceed, you will see a pop-up stating, “Windows protected your PC”. You will then need to click on “More info“, then click the button that states “Run anyway” to start the process.

A window will then open asking if you would like to install the Auction123 Launcher Application. Click “Install” to complete the update process.

Please contact Auction123 Support at (888) 514-0123, Option 2 or support@auction123.com if you need any assistance.
